GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Suitable in the water treatment sector for flocculation and preparation of polyelectrolytes
- Propeller geometry
- Interchangeable PVC propeller blades
- Additional blades on the propeller for special applications (sold separately in assembly kits)
- Possibility of adding a second propeller on the shaft for better agitation with suspended solids (sold separately in assembly kit)
- Motor connection
- Slow agitator speed changes from 70 rpm (optional) to 200 rpm (standard)
- Electric motors are fully interchangeable throughout the range (0.12÷0.37 kW)
AGITATOR POSITIONING
G>100 - Fast / G>100 - Lenses
N.B. - In the case of central mounting, 3 anti-rotation 120° blades must be provided for fast agitators and 4 blades for slow agitators
- A - Liquid height
- B - Tank diameter
- C - Distance of the propeller from the bottom
- D - Distance between the 2 propellers
- E - Propeller diameter
- For 0.5<A/B<1.1 - 1 Propeller
- C=0.5÷2xE
- For 1.1<A/B<1.6 - 2 Propellers
- D=5÷E (Fast) / D=2÷E (Lenses)
- Choice of propeller diameter depending on the tank
- E=B÷0.2 (Fast ) / E=B÷0.3 (Lenses )
VERIFICATION OF ENGINE POWER
The agitators are equipped with a suitably dimensioned motor. To calculate the required power, multiply:
- Real P = P Used x liquid density x viscosity coefficient (Real P = power in water)
You must check that the motor power is:
- = Real P + 5% (Fast) / = Real P + 25% (Lenses)
It should be borne in mind that:
- Increasing the speed by 50% requires increasing the power by ∼ 3 times
- Increasing the propeller diameter by 50% increases the power by 7 ∼ times
Example:
950 rpm required with Ø120 propeller and 0.25 kW motor
- A 1 kW motor must be chosen to run at 1400 rpm
- A 1.5 kW motor must be chosen to use a 180 propeller
